A local and scarce species, mainly in the Wyre Forest.

A species of open and coppiced woodland where its foodplant grows.

Overwinters as a pupa while adults come readily to light.

Note Similar to Haworth's Pug but without the reddish band on the abdomen. Cross-lines are very wavy. Worn examples and those caught away from regular sites will require dissection.
