A rare and declining resident in the north of the region.

A species of damp meadows and fens.

Overwinters as a pupa. Adults can sometimes be seen flying around their foodplant during the day. Occasionally comes to light.

Note A small rich, dark brown Pug with fine white cross-lines and small white tornal spot. Fresh examples have a sort of speckled appearance.
