A fairly common resident, mainly in the east of the region.

Occurs in open ground, calcareous grassland, fens to acid heathland and moorland.

Overwinters as a pupa while adults can be disturbed during the day and later are attracted to light.

First Recorded in 1860.
Last Recorded in 2022.
