A well-known migrant, found all over the region but in varying numbers from year to year.

Could turn up anywhere but often seen in gardens where it visits a variety of flowers.

Overwinters as an adult in places like unheated sheds, garages or in crevices in bark.

First Recorded in 1853.
Last Recorded in 2022.
