An uncommon species found in the south of the region. Added to Staffordshire in 2023.

Found mainly in calcareous grassland.

Early stages unknown but adults come to light.

Note sometimes mistaken for Light Arches but clearly-defined reddish-brown wedges on the outer edge of the wing are distinctive.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Recorded in 15 (11%) of 140 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1899.
Last Recorded in 2018.
