A common resident.

Found wherever Typha grows.

Overwinters as an egg while adults come to light, sometimes a considerable distance from the breeding site.

Note Similar to Large Wainscot but wings tips more rounded and there is a line of dark arrowheads along the trailing edge of the wing.
