A rare and local resident.

A species of boggy moorland, fens, damp grassland, marshes etc.

Little is know about its early stages or its foodplants. Adults fly from late afternoon to dusk and later can visit light in some numbers.

Note can easily be mistaken for a micro such as Eudonia or Scoparia.
