Fairly common in the south of the region becoming scarcer further north.

A species of oak woodland.

Overwinters as a pupa, adults occasionally visit flowers or rest on leaves of oaks during the day.

Note Clay Triple-lines is plainer, pinkish or orange-brown and may have a pale central spot.
