An uncommon resident.

Found in urban and suburban areas where its foodplant grows in gardens and amenity areas.

Overwinters as a pupa while adults fly from dusk and occasionally come to light.

Note very similar to the commoner Tissue but wings more pointed and rougher rather than shiny. Also, the central crosslines are closer together and often merged. The underside has more obvious black central markings and two dark marks close to the base of the forewing edge.
