Overwinters as an egg, larvae can be beaten from blackthorn blossom. Adults come sparingly to light so not often seen.
Note Can resemble some forms of Green Pug but fades rapidly to a brownish colour and has a salmon pink band at base of the abdomen which is black in Green Pug. Also, the cross-lines are less wavy.
