A local and uncommon resident.

A species of heathland, moorland and woodland where Bilberry grows.

Overwinters as an egg while adults fly from dusk onward and come readily to light.

Note Green Pug is darker and the cross-lines are darker-edged, being just dotted with black in Bilberry.
