A fairly common resident.

A species mainly of coniferous woodland.

Overwinters as a small larva, adults are attracted to light.

Note Has a broader, more rounded wing than Mottled Beauty. Cross-veins when present are similar to Willow Beauty but central one is more scalloped an less oblique.
