A common species across the region.

A species of woodland and scrub.

Overwinters as a pupa, adults can be found resting on tree trunks or disturbed from vegetation during the data and later coming sparingly to light.

Note In Common Wave the cross-lines are brown and more curved and the freckling on the wing brownish rather than greyish.
