A common resident species throughout the region perhaps better known as the larva to many people.

Found in a wide variety of habitats from brownfield sites to rural habitats.

Adults come readily to light, sometimes in large numbers. The larva is one of those regularly found by gardeners as fuchsia is one of its foodplants.
