A common resident found throughout the region.

Most numerous in marshy areas but also found in other grassy places and in some gardens too.

Overwinters as a full-grown larva and adults are attracted to light.

Note the black basal streak is longer than that on L-album Wainscot and whilst the central line is white and slightly thickened, it is not as strong as on L-album.
