A fairly common species across the region.

A species of riverbanks, marshes, gardens, hedges, scrub and woodland.

Overwinters as a small larva. Adults can be found roosting by day in out-buildings, under bridges, in houses etc. Comes sparingly to light but more so to sugar, sap runs etc.
