An uncommon resident across most of the region though scarce in Herefordshire.

A species of broadleaved woodland, parks, gardens, heathland and scrubby areas.

Overwinters as a pupa and adults are attracted to light and sugar.

First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2022.
