A fairly common resident.

A species of short-cropped, open grassland and some gardens.

Overwinters as a larva and adults are attracted to light and sugar.

Note A variable species and some can resemble forms of Small Dotted Buff but it can show a very deeply curved cross-line below the kidney mark that Small Dotted Buff doesn't have.
