Beautiful Snout
Hypena crassalis

Fairly common but local.

A species of heathy woodland with Bilberry understorey. Can occur some distance from known sites.

Overwinters as a pupa. Adults rest by day among their foodplant and can be easily disturbed. Comes to light later.
