A common species across the region.

Found in a wide variety of habitats,

Flies or can be disturbed during the day, comes readily to light. Overwinters as a pupa.

Note Often mis-identified as Wood Carpet. Wood is much scarcer and the white sub terminal band generally has no trace of the thin black line found in Common Carpet.
