A common resident across the region.

A species of coniferous woodland but also in parkland and larger gardens.

Overwinters as a larva, comes readily to light.

Note Causes much confusion with Grey Pine Carpet. Typically the central dark band is wider and with larger "lozenges". The outer white crossline is more distinct. If in doubt take a photograph.
