Fairly common resident of deciduous woodland.

On a wide range of herbaceous woodland plants, especially Ficaria verna with larva feeding from April to June, folding down leaves and eating the inner cuticle.

Can be variable in appearance.

Recorded in 61 (44%) of 140 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
