Fairly common resident.

Most easily recorded from leaf mines on Crataegus spp. with larva feeding in August to October. In a narrow gallery filled with reddish frass, following the leaf margin, leading to a yellow blotch containing black frass; larva yellow.

Verification Grade Comment: Vacated mines may sometimes be unidentifiable
