Local resident of moorland and upland heaths, found on the Stiperstones in Shropshire and in Staffordshire.

Vaccinium vitis-idaea with larva feeding from July to May in an untidy and conspicuous spinning in the shoots. Flies in late afternoon sunshine.

First Recorded in 1900.
