A fairly common grassland species, readily disturbed during the day and coming freely to light.

Note similar to A. geniculea but not so well marked. There is a distinctive dark patch on the upper edge of the median streak and the outer cross-line is broken by the "fingers" of the median streak. There is a row of black sub-terminal dots.
