A local heathland species.

Larvae feed from September to June in a tubular, frass-covered web on Bell Heather Erica cinera, Heather Calluna vulgaris, Milkwort Polygala spp., and Thyme Thymus spp.

Adults are readily disturbed during the day and fly from dusk onward, comes to light.

Recorded in 10 (7%) of 140 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1904.
Last Recorded in 2022.
