Uncommon local resident.
Knautia and Scabiosa columbaria.
Flies in June/July and larva feeding from August to April.
Larvae at first in the flowerheads then in a case on the lower leaves.
Occurs in colonies on calcareous grassland, flying in the sunshine and sitting on flowers of the foodplant.
