Fairly common resident.
Flies May/June with larva feeding from July to October in a seed pod of Cardamine pratensis, Alliaria, Sisymbrium officinale, Barbarea vulgaris etc.
Then feeding on lower leaves of the foodplant in a case.
Flies in the sunshine and sits on a flower of the foodplant.
In damp meadows and woodland rides, and along hedgerows and
roadsides.
