Local resident.

On Acer campestre with spring larvae feeding in a succession of buds and summer larvae mining the wing of a samara in a gallery leading to the seed which is devoured. Pupates in a cocoon spun either in May on the trunk or on detritus or in summer on the wing of a samara or a leaf.
