Recent arrival in our area with records of mines in 2023. Spreading from the south.
Mines can be found on the foodplants in September / October. A thin gallery leading to a blotch which often engulfs the gallery. Most frass is ejected through a slit in the mine.
Larvae pupate in a spun 'hammock' attached to a leaf or stem.
