Fairly common resident.

Betula spp. with larva feeding in July/August and often another generation in May, in a gallery mine in a leaf and then in longitudinally rolled leaves. Pupates under a green membrane under a leaf.

Mine: Moth needs to be reared and, in some cases, possibly dissected.

Recorded in 34 (24%) of 140 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2022.
