Common resident.

Acer peudoplatanus, with larva feeding in June/July and August/September initially in a small mine in the underside of a leaf, and then in a succession of cones made by rolling down leaf lobes.

Adults can usually be distinguished from similar species by the narrow whitish band around the femur.
