Phyllonorycter lautella

Fairly common resident.

Quercus spp. with larva feeding in July and September/October in a large, strongly inflated mine extending from the midrib on the underside of a leaf. Usually in seedling oaks or on small branches emerging from the lower trunk, and often several mines in each leaf.
