Anthophila fabriciana

Very common resident.
Flies May/June and July to October.
Larvae on Urtica dioica and Parietaria judaica. feeding in June/July and from September to May in a thick silken web on the upper side of a leaf, folding it upwards.
One of our commonest moths which flies in large numbers around
nettles in scrub, on urban or rural waste ground, and along hedgerows and woodland edges.
