Rare, with just one record of two individuals to light, Malvern Hills, Worcestershire, 28th June 2009 and a single individual in Staffordshire on 2nd August 2015.

Crataegus, Malus, Prunus avium or Sorbus aucuparia, with larva mining leaves from September to April in a dark case with distinct 'neck'. From mid-April bores into flower buds to feed. Pupates in May on upper side of leaf or attached to a twig.
