Rare resident, only recent records from north west Shropshire.

Mines Agrimonia spp., Potentilla spp. and Fragaria vesca, with larva feeding in July and September/October. In a narrow gallery leading to a blotch. Larva yellow without dark ventral spots, which distinguishes it from E. arcuatella.
