Coleophora otidipennella

Fairly common, but local, resident on commons, old, unimproved meadows and pastures and some woodland rides.

Luzula campestris, L. multiflora with larva feeding on seed capsules from July to September, both on the foodplant and after they have fallen to the ground, in a pale ochreous-brown silk case.

Determination by Genitalia Examination (gen. det.) Required

Case: A good quality photo or specimen of the case and plant/pabulum and gen. det. of bred moth is required.
