Fairly common resident in shady woodland and tall scrub.

Brachypodium sylvaticum, Dactylis or Holcus spp. with larva mining a leaf fom August to October in a long irregular mine containing a central tube of silk and frass. The larva hibernates in the mine, pupating in April.

First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2021.
