Very local resident but fairly common where it occurs.

Most easily recorded from mines on Vaccinium myrtillus with larva feeding in July and September / October. In a contorted gallery becoming a blotch, and turning the leaf purple.

Recorded in 17 (12%) of 140 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2020.
