Rare, with just two records determined by dissection of moths taken at light.

Mines on Carpinus closely resemble those of S. floslactella, which may also use that foodplant so rearing is essential.

Mine: Moth needs to be reared and, in some cases, possibly dissected.

First Recorded in 2016.
Last Recorded in 2018.
