Rare resident of marshes and bogs.

On various small Epilobium spp. especially E. palustre with larva feeding in blotch mines in the leaves April/May and July/August. Pupation takes place in a white cocoon on vegetation.

First Recorded in 1895.
Last Recorded in 2022.
