Formerly rare, now a common resident in the southern half of the area and expanding it's range northwards fairly rapidly.

Most easily recorded from leaf mines on Acer campestre and A. platanoides with larva feeding in late June to early July and August to early September. In a long sinuous gallery filled with green frass; larva green.

Recorded in 42 (30%) of 140 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1976.
Last Recorded in 2022.
